Wow...I can't believe it is August already. Where has the time gone?!? Once August comes along, it always feels like the summer is coming to an end, however, the weather seems to be saying that summer is just beginning. Crazy! We spent the first day of August at the library-Hailey earned her halfway prize for her Summer Reading Program. She received a cup and a bookmark. She only has 11 more shapes to color in to receive her end of the program prize. She was/is quite proud of herself!! She also got to check out 5 more books during this library visit, which she was VERY excited for!! I'm so glad she has that love of reading!!
August 1st we also spent much of the evening outside in the grass playing soccer, petting the neighbor cat, and just being goofy.
Today, we sent most of the early afternoon outside at the park. We met up with some friends (Leah and Tyler, and their cute little kids Issac and Josie) at Les Gove park in Auburn. Hailey had fun sliding, swinging, playing in the sand, and...who could forget....playing in the splash park area!! After the park, we hurried back home so that Hailey could spend some time with Grandma Marilyn, as she is leaving tomorrow to Oklahoma for a month. Next up on the agenda- dinner and Jazzercise class to complete the day.
What a busy first 2 days of August. And...tomorrow's my birthday! :) I can't wait to see what the rest of the summer holds for The Borland's! :-)
