At the beginning of the summer I had picked up a flyer about all of the Summer reading programs at the local libraries. I had fully intended to go to some, but didn't...until now that is. We made it to the last Toddler Story Time of the summer (librarian informed us they should start back up in Sept.). Hailey seemed to have fun. When it was time to sing some songs, she turned and told me we had to sing quietly because we were in a library, lol. She didn't seem to pick up on the fact that the other kids were singing loudly. Oh well! We also got to hear 3 books while we were there. They were all about different types of trucks and cars. After story time was over the kids could look through the books that she had displayed and check them out if they wanted to. Of course...Hailey went right to the non-fiction book (that's my girl!). Hailey decided she wanted to check that one out, and then go look in the main library area for a couple of other books. Meanwhile, I ran into someone who I used to work with and her two girls. Rupy and I caught up on the goings-on while her oldest daughter (7 years old now!?!!!) read books to Hailey. We left the library with 4 library books and a summer reading program reading log. As of today, Hailey has completed the halfway mark so sometime this weekend we will take it back to the library to get her half-way prize. Hailey's pretty excited about it...and the fact that she doesn't have to give these books back for 4 weeks! We might take them back this weekend though and get some new ones-Hailey
loves her books!!
After the library we grabbed a quick lunch and then headed home. It was much cooler outside in the shade than it was in the house. So Hailey and I took her new books outside and read them while laying on a blanket. The neighbor cat then came in the yard, and Hailey got all goofy and the giggles started. We had a blast just laying outside and laughing together!

Excuse the next 'up-the-nose shot'...but I rarely get a really good picture of her blue eyes, and the blue sky behind her made them pop, lol.
Love, love, love summer days like this! :)
