Play day!

Today was quite the busy day.  It all started off with our usual Wednesday Preschool Playdate. Today we all met up at Wooten Park down in Redondo. The park was nice-There was lots of slides so Hailey was in heaven-and besides not having a bathroom right there on location (you had to walk down the hill and across the road to the restrooms next to Salty's), all of the parents seemed to have fun too. One of Hailey's friends from her class (Grace) even showed up this time, and she and Hailey enjoyed sliding together. One of the other parents brought a t-ball set and let all of the kids have turns hitting the ball.  Hailey decided she wanted to try too, and for her first time, didn't do too bad (only whiffed it a couple of times, LOL)

After preschool playdate, we rushed home to grab some bags of Hailey's old clothes for Jenny (and ultimately Heidi), reapplied sunscreen, and headed out the door to playdate #2. This time we drove out to Stacy's house so I could visit with her and Jenny, and Hailey could play with Kaden. Hailey was also super excited to beet Baby Lexi for the first time, and to see Baby Heidi again. Baby Lexi is such a pretty baby, and of course, Hailey asked to see her cute little toesies right away. I loved being able to hold Lexi too, and even got to feed her a bottle! :) And  my how Heidi has changed and grown! Being able to hold/feed/and play with these two little girls sure made me miss that baby stage!

Hailey took a while to warm up to Kaden, and she was more than content sitting and looking at the babies, but she finally did get up and start playing.  Unfortunately at the end of the playdate, she was in a hurry (and also a bit tired) when she was coming back inside the house and missed the cement step. She ended up with a scraped knee and thigh, but otherwise just fine. Kaden even offered her one of his Buzz and woody band-aids, lol.

What a long-but fun day! I can't wait for our next get together! :) Hailey almost passed out from exhaustion on the way home, and I would have let her sleep if I thought she would have gone to sleep like normal when it was bedtime.  Instead, we turned up the radio and sang goofy songs,
