On May 22nd (yes, I know...I've been slacking on the blogging lately!) we took Hailey to her first baseball game. It was co-op preschool day at Cheney Stadium: Home of the Tacoma Rainiers. I would love to report back that Hailey absolutely loved it...but I would be telling a lie, lol. She didn't totally hate it, but it was quite the slow game (I guess that's to be expected in a minor league). But seriously...I don't think anyone from our team had a hit for the first 6 innings, lol. For Hailey, the highlight of the game was the seat that folded up and down, and the music (we even made it on the jumbo-tron while she was dancing around in her seat!) Towards the end of the game, we had the opportunity to go get an autograph from Rhubarb the Reindeer-their team mascot. She didn't want to take a picture with him, but marched herself right up to him and gave him her autograph "book". The Rainiers won the game, and then came the absolute highlight for Hailey: She got to run around the bases; in fact she did it twice, even though they were only supposed to do it once. All in all, it was a fun family outing, but I am certainly glad that we didn't shell out money for the Mariners game just to have her play with the chair, lol.
