Happy Father's Day

Wishing all of the Dad's, new dad's, and dad's to be a very Happy Father's Day!  Our day was pretty relaxing (for the most part).  Hailey and I woke up this morning and made Brian a delicious breakfast of waffles (almost didn't have enough batter for us all though because apparently I was still sleepy and forgot to spray the waffle iron with non-stick spray, lol), eggs, and sausage. Hailey had made Brian a present last night and was so excited she wanted to give it to him right after she was done making it.  It was pretty funny...she would go out to the living room and say "Daddy, I made you...uh, never mind...it's a secret!" :-)  So this morning after breakfast, when I told her to give daddy his present, she was more than thrilled and ran to her play kitchen to retrieve it from where she had hidden it. Her gift to Brian was an original story about her daddy. I told her to make up a story about her and her daddy, and while she was telling me the story I was typing it (all of the words in her story were hers!)and then she illustrated her story too.  It came out really cute! :-)  Here's is a picture of Hailey's story called Prince Daddy Saves the Day.

Brian then went to work (first checking in on his mom), while Hailey and I played puzzles and took a nap (her, not me). Once Brian was home, we went to the mall and let Hailey play for a bit, and to the Verizon store to browse.  The night ended with dinner at Red Robin and then back at home relaxing and playing before bed.

Happy Father's Day to a loving husband and an amazing Daddy!
