So it was pointed out to me that I should probably update my blog (thanks Tonya!) as it is no longer Halloween, lol. So...here it goes! A lot has happened in between Halloween and today, New Year's Day. So I will try to go back in time and give a brief synopsis of things that happened.
November 3rd, 2011- Brian's 33rd birthday.
Brian had already gotten a phone upgrade earlier in the year so he said to count that as his birthday gift, and that if I absolutely
had to get him something, it must be homemade. Well, I'm pretty sure I nailed that one! :-) I found a frame that I had and framed a piece of scrapbook paper that read: Gift coupon, good for 1 baby, redeemable in July 2012. I also wrapped a positive pregnancy test. (surprise (well, not to us as we were trying)...we're pregnant with #2!!!!!) I was lucky enough to capture the whole gift unwrapping on video as Brian's reaction was absolutely perfect!
Thanksgiving was at the end of November and we spent it at Margie's house. Lots of food and lots of fun!
Then the Christmas season was upon us. Hailey was VERY much into it this year!!!Some highlights for December include: cutting down our Christmas tree at Coates Tree Farm, Hailey had her first sinus infection and I ended up with a sinus infection and bronchitis, which while pregnant is not fun at all!! Mine got so bad that I ended up not being able to hear out of my left ear for quite some time!(not a positive highlight, but a highlight none the less!) I finally was put on antibiotics and now feel 100% back to normal! We also got to go to our first appointment this pregnancy. This was for an ultrasound only, as I would be going back the following week for a doctor visit. Ultrasound went well, and they measured the heart rate at 178bpm-3 beats higher than with Hailey at the same time frame.
Christmas came and went. It was a great Christmas this year. Hailey and I took a trip to Oregon for 3 days to visit my parents and my Grandma, who just had surgery-it was also her birthday while we were there. We had a fun time, and they spoiled Hailey as always!
