Okay, I know it's a day late but, seeing as I just started this whole blog thing today I couldn't wish you a Happy Thanksgiving earlier than now. Brian and I have so much to be thankful for this year! The other day we were talking to Hailey about being thankful for things like family, having a warm place to call home, etc. We asked her what she was thankful for and here's how the conversation went.
Mommy: Hailey, what are you thankful for this year?
Hailey: Ummm....rolls!
Mommy: Rolls??? ( I wasn't sure I heard her correctly, lol)
Hailey: Yeah, rolls...and ham! That's what I'm thankful for!
We asked her this same question today and it was the same answer. This time though she added that she was thankful for turkey and her cozy blanket. Ahhh...gotta love kid logic! :-D

Brrrr...
I can't believe it. The weather forecasters predicted it, and it actually happened. We had some really cold air come in from up north along with some moisture and, wait for it.....it SNOWED!!! :-) I went to work on Monday with the forecasters saying moisture moving in and temps dropping in the afternoon. Well, by noon the snow was falling heavily. Our district finally decided to let us dismiss, starting with bus riders, at 2:45. Then as soon as my last student left at 3:20, I headed out the door. Monday night the winds picked up. As soon as we finished eating out (late) dinner, the power went out. What timing...the low that night was supposed to be 13, with wind chill it felt like 8 degrees. We tried to enjoy it as best as we could-Brian made a nice fire, and we set out a bunch of candles. The power remained out for about 8 hours. We were the lucky ones-I know people from work who were without for 16+ hours. Tuesday and Wednesday were also snow days for us, giving us a 6-day weekend. I could get used to that!! :-)
Anyway, we spent a lot of the next few days playing outside. We couldn't stay out too long though, since it was in the 20's for our highs. Hailey absolutely LOVED the snow and would have stayed out there all day if we would have let her. Here's a few pictures of our snow fun!

Entering the blog world!
Well...I've been contemplating jumping in to the blogging world for some time now and today I finally decided to take the plunge. This blog will keep track of our day to day family adventures. I hope you enjoy reading about all that is going on with The Borland Family! :-)
